Welcome to House Tarn's Fury
On behalf of House Tarn's Fury, You shall be receiving a series of scrolls to follow this
welcome. The scrolls are a mix of training scrolls for slaves, and FP to read alike, and
rules for slaves as well as a list of our House rooms and the current roster of house
members to add to your lists.
To all Freepersons joining, We respectfully ask you take the time to read the training
scrolls as well, so that you are aware of what we train slaves you bring, as well as
slaves you may add to the house later and so that you know what rules your slaves are
required to follow as part of the house. In addition, we request that you notify the house
Scribe by scroll of any new slaves you bring to the house so that the lists may be sent
out and the slaves name added to the roster.
To all slaves, you are required to know this information and shall be tested on it. In
addition, more personal training shall be given you by the House Trainer as well as
testing your abilities to see where you need specific training in. This House shall have
only the best behaved and best trained slaves in all of Gor.
On a regular basis, you shall receive updates on the Roster as we grow. Be sure to place
new names in your lists and delete those we loose. . Please Place "House Tarn's Fury
Civitatis, Ar" in your profile. This string can then be used to easily locate House
Tarn's Fury Members.
A list of House Tarn's Fury rooms with links shall also be sent. Please do not give the
links to private rooms out to strangers without permission From the leader of the house or
en-sword.

Subj: A note from the Regent..

Greetings muns.
In going over the member directory, I noticed a few disturbing things. I am now going to
put a name to certain things that are not acceptable for book spirit play. Note, book
spirit, not book bound. We do not have to play out the books, in fact our timeline makes
it impossible, and seeing the same characters again and again is old. But that does not
mean we leave the spirit and thoughts behind the books.
First thing. In Ar, females DO NOT FIGHT. Period. This does not mean just no women
warriors, it means no fighting women, period. Of course what you do in private is your
business, but what is in your profs reflects on the city. We are a model for all of Gor as
to a public book spirit city. We use the same ways of RP as the RP cities, and show them
that it CAN be done in public, as well as private. At least this is my image. This is how
I RP, this is how I present Ar. I do not like to present a false image.
Also I need to stress that Arians do not use quivas. These are weapons of the plains, and
although made in Ar, they are not widely used there. Throwing Daggers, killing knives, etc
are. Please keep this in mind. And even on the plains women are not trained in the quiva.
And in Ar women are hardly ever trained in ANY weapon, the dagger being the only
exception.
Also, I am seeing a sickening number of profiles with urth in them. Urth is a term from
fantasy RPGs, to indicate an alternate earth that does not exist. But in fact, our earth
is the one orbiting across from Gor, not an alternate reality one. Ok, so Gor is
fictional, but earth is not. So please, change it all to earth, if you must use it. And
Gorean years and Earth years are exactly the same. They have the same revolution about the
sun. Days are a bit different, years are the same.
Also, you must take into account our climate when talking of certain animals. Ar's
climates are not conducive to kaiilas. They are most at home in the barns, the tahari, and
upon the plains of turia. In the vicinity of the Vosk River and its tributaries,
tharlarions are the main source of ground travel, except walking of course. be they high
tharlarions or be they draft tharlarions. Of course, some may be pulled about in wagons
pulled by bosk, but only high tharlaions were used in regularity as riding animals.
Also, on RP: We do not associate or recognize any player character (that's people with SNs
for you non table top RPers) who are animals, and homeless children, and orphaned ones are
HIGHLY frowned upon, as are adopted. Of course, they are not disallowed, I will not say
such a thing, but they are not the characters I really want to see. Children of citizens,
etc., yes, bring em on, they are Arian Born. Also, I am resending our mun consent. This is
our mun consent. if you are over 18, and you consent to RP, in the manner I say, then you
consent to what happens. Also, thank you all for the great show of loyalty in helping one
another out of the scrapes we all get into. This is heartening and how we should be, all
helping one another. I do ask that each of you get involved in the city. Hopefully, we are
doing a festival some time next week, I hope that each of you will get involved. This will
be a chance for us all to circulate and meet each other, as well as show off to all of Gor
what a true Gorean city is like. No female warriors, no talking animals, no women smarting
off like panther girls, etc. Women in true gorean garb, not skimpy leathers fit for
panther girls only (OK, so our resident she-urt is an exception, but gotta have an
exception to make the rule a rule). warriors behaving rashly, but with honor, as a gorean
man does. Slaves being obedient and mindful of all, yet totally pleasing. These are the
things I want to see in our rooms.
Also, on speech patterns. Aii is an exclamation. Sound it out, that's what it is, kind of
an all purpose cry. Not an indication of affirmative. Ki is a gorean word that works as a
negation. It does not mean no, it negates words, kind of like non-or something,
Translations are not precise. In general, use ki only if speaking actual gorean sentences.
A FW might say La ki Kajira or something like that.
More will come, soon I will be sending about the education scrolls as Ubar Luther of
Delphius wrote them, They are very helpful, and although not perfect give a great head
start on true book spirit RP.
Thats all for now, and I apologize if I hurt feelings, but I am getting tired of the city
being less than what it should be. We are Ar. We are the largest and greatest city in all
of Gor. All roads lead to Ar, to paraphrase. So I am sorry if I expect nothing but the
best. But do not think that I am asking you to do this miraculously. I am always willing
to explain ANYTHING to you all, its juts my way. I teach, I try not to preach. Ask any who
know me well. If I do not know, I know those who do, so ask away.

the information I promised:
First, the Delphic Gor rules. These are not things you HAVE to follow, but I would really
appreciate you using them as guidelines for play. Ar under the Delphic Alliance of Gor
The Mun Consent rules: OOC Rules:
Mun consent for RP in Ar Rooms: If you RP in the room you give mun consent to the rp that
you particpate in. You have the option at ANY time of ceasing to RP in the room, and
thereby withdrawing your consent to play there. This does not mean filling the room with
OOC brackets, this means ceasing RP in the room. Leave it preferably, (but you are not
forced to do so), for if you are in it, your lack of consent might not be noticed.
Also, there is to be NO OOC in the rooms, typo corrections of course are excepted from
this, but you all know precisely what I mean. Keep OOC to IMs soley.
Dice Rolling: Dice rolling is to be kept to a base minimum, only rolling for things such
as a thief's pick pocket attempt, a man capturing another man, two men fighting, etc. If
at all possible, RP out the situation, instead of rolling it.
Optional: If using 2d2* system for dice, any roll of over 20 is equal to a one round stun.
If a warrior stuns a non warrior, he may, if he chooses, bind them, without a roll. His
bonds will of course be inescapable. He must hurry though, as the stun will not last long.
Laws of Ar:Because ignorance is not an acceptable excuse, her are the Laws in Ar, know
them, and obey them, the punishments in Ar are not light. The City of Ar Laws
I have received your registry for your house in Ar. In Case you were not aware Ar is now
an organized city. I am Ciarisa Kia Amroni the elected city scribe and the city elected my
FC to be the Regent of Ar as Well Mikel Amroni (sn MikelAmrni). We have also asked the
members of the organized city to place Civitatis Ar in your profile and all house members
including slaves as a keyword to pull up in members directory.
